Working with Newsgroups in Outlook Express

Now that you know a bit about Usenet, it's time to get down to more practical matters. Specifically, the rest of this chapter will show you how to use Outlook Express to subscribe to, read, and post to newsgroups. (I'm assuming here that you've set up an Outlook Express account for your news server, as described in Chapter 32, “Windows 98 and the Internet.”)

In the Outlook Express window, head for the folder list and click on the folder that represents your news server account. The first time you do this, Outlook Express displays the dialog box shown in Figure 35.1, which asks whether you want to view a list of the available newsgroups.
