Using PPTP to Establish a Virtual Private Network Connection

If you want to use PPTP to establish your connection, here are the steps you follow to configure the connectoid:

1.	Install Virtual Private Networking. (In the Windows Setup tab, open the Communications component and activate the check box beside Virtual Private Networking. You need to restart your computer after this protocol and the VPN adapter are installed.)
2.	In the Dial-Up Networking folder, start a new connectoid.
3.	In the first wizard dialog box, enter a name for the new connectoid and select Microsoft VPN Adapter in the Select a device list (see Figure 30.14). Click Next >. Figure 30.14. Make sure you select Microsoft VPN Adapter as the device for your connectoid.
