This chapter showed you how to implement Microsoft's TCP/IP stack in Windows 98. I spent a good chunk of this chapter taking you through various TCP/IP concepts that are crucial if you hope to understand what you're doing when you set up TCP/IP on a computer. To that end, I showed you the basics behind the two main protocols: IP (including the structure of IP datagrams and addresses, IP routing, and name resolution) and TCP (including TCP sockets, segments, and features).
