Windows 95's Windows Messaging has a Microsoft Mail component that enables you to send and retrieve messages over a local area network. For those times when you want to perform email chores while you're on the road, you can set up Microsoft Mail to use a remote Dial-Up Networking connection. This section shows you how it's done.
Before proceeding, you should create a new Exchange profile for your remote Microsoft Mail sessions:

Create a new profile by opening Control Panel's Mail icon, clicking Show Profiles, and then clicking Add. Be sure not to add the Microsoft Mail service to this profile.
