Assuming that you've installed the Dial-Up Networking component on your computer, configuring Windows 98 so that it can connect to a dial-up server involves four steps:

Install the Dial-Up Adapter, if necessary.

Configure the Dial-Up Adapter.

Create a new Dial-Up Networking connectoid for the server.
