will be possible to make using your group’s current knowledge, roles,
skills, and values, but some will require far more diffi cult adapta-
tions. For these, the group will need to develop new knowledge and
skills, take on new roles, alter basic patterns of work, and adopt new
values, all while giving up familiar approaches that no longer work.
Guiding your people through change of all kinds is a key part of cre-
ating the future you want, but guiding them through the changes
that require more fundamental adaptations can present special
challenges.
