I’ve been pumping iron and taking vitamins to try to keep in
shape. To keep that mental edge, I’ve got to maintain the phys-
ical one. My father [a senior executive in a large company] had
a heart attack. Now, I see why. I’m going to have to find some
time to get away soon, or things will be in shambles. I’m get-
ting sluggish.
I get up at 6:00 and I’m in here by 7:30. I stay until 8:00
or 8:30 every night. There is no time for life outside [the
