Internationalization
Abbreviated as I18N. e process of architect-
ing soware (or hardware) in a exible man-
ner such that it becomes an easy task to adapt
or localize to another country with dierent
languages. Internationalization also makes it
possible to use more than one script on com-
puters. ere are two main implementations
of internationalization: the locale model and
the multilingual model. See also globalization,
locale model, localization, and multilingual
model.
Internet
e name given to the world-wide network

IP
Internet Protocol.
IRG
Ideographic Rapporteur Group. Formerly
called the CJK Joint Research Group (CJK-
JRG). Its full designation is ISO/IEC JTC1/
SC2/WG2/IRG, which is an abbreviated
form of ISO/IEC Joint Technical Committee
1, Subcommittee 2, Working Group 2, Ideo-
graphic Rapporteur Group.

or (iroha). A Japanese col-
lation sequence based on the same sounds
