Basic objects

With Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 and in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central on-premise in CSIDE Development Environment, you can find seven basic object types. They are as follows:

Object	Description
Table	This object is used to store data in the database. Most of the time, it is within this object that data is validated or calculated so that it follows the business rules described in each application area. Understanding tables is the key to using all the other objects.
Page	This object is used to display data to users. Pages allow the users to add records to a table and to view and modify the records. Pages can also be exposed as web services so that the other applications can also read, insert, modify, ...
