I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Upgrading the data
You must use data-conversion tools that have been provided with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to convert the old data with the old version's table and field structure so that it functions together with the new version’s table and field structure. Mainly, only table objects and table data are modified during the data-upgrade process. Other objects, such as pages, reports, codeunits, and XMLports are upgraded as part of the application code upgrade process.
The data-upgrade process leads you through the database conversion (technical upgrade) and then the upgrade of the actual data, which is achieved by using Upgrade ToolKit/upgrade codeunits.
