Upgrading installed extensions

The installed extensions must also be updated; you need to upgrade the V1 extensions by reinstalling them.

Extension V1 must be rewritten to Extension V2 using Microsoft AL, so you need to perform the following steps:

1. Unpublish the V1 extension (Uninstall-NAVApp).
2. Install the V2 extension (Publish-NAVApp).

3. Synch the V2 with the database schema (Sync-NAVApp).
4. Execute the upgrade code to V2 (Start-NAVAppDataUpgrade). The upgrade logic must be written in an Upgrade codeunit in your V2 extension.

To get a list of the published extensions on the server instance, run the following Get-NAVAppInfo command, as follows:

Get-NAVAppInfo -ServerInstance <ServerInstanceName>
