I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Automating upgrading using PowerShell
As mentioned previously, there's a totally hands-off approach to upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018 using PowerShell scripts. Fortunately, Microsoft has provided sample scripts on automating that can be found in the installation files in the WindowsPowerShellScriptsApplicationMergeUtilities directory.
Configuring these scripts is outside the scope of this book. The scripts basically follow the same principle as the steps that are described in this section.
