When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Power BI reporting integration
With the introduction of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft included something called Power BI (short for Power Business Intelligence). What used to cost a lot of money for a BI solution, Microsoft is now essentially including as part of the Office 365 package. This means that you can utilize Power BI to have a graphical dashboard for your business using live data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
The best way to send data to Power BI is to utilize a new object type called Query. The Query object type was actually introduced in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013. So, as long as you can publish the query as a web service, Power BI utilized with Excel will suck the data up!
