I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Running the data-upgrade process
A data upgrade runs the Upgrade ToolKit objects (as seen in the preceding paragraph) to migrate business data from the old table structure to the new table structure. You can start the data upgrade from the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Development Environment or from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Administration Shell.
When you upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018, you must first upgrade the application code, and then you can upgrade the data. By using Windows PowerShell, you can automate both parts of the upgrade process.
