So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
The New Modern Development Environment
The new modern development environment, born first for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, then used for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2018, is innovative, allowing you to develop extensions (and to certify them—or not). It is useful for customizing the product in a much less invasive way than in the past.
The new modern development environment is composed of Visual Studio Code and the Microsoft AL language extension and allows the development of extensions in a professional way, updated to the market standard. This new environment is a significant change from the past.
