2.2.7 Operational Data Store (ODS)
The operational data source can be defined as an updateable set of integrated
data used for enterprise-wide tactical decision making. It contains live data, not
snapshots, and has minimal history that is retained. Below are some features of
an Operational Data Store (ODS):
An ODS is subject oriented: It is designed and organized around the major
data subjects of a corporation, such as “customer” or “product”. They are not
organized around specific applications or functions, such as “order entry” or
