2.3.3 Statistics
Statistical tools are typically used to address the business problem of generating
an overview of the data in your database. This is done by using techniques that
summarize information about the data into statistical measures that can be
interpreted without requiring every record in the database to be understood in
detail (for example, the application of statistical functions like finding the
maximum or minimum, the mean, or the variance). The interpretation of the
derived measures require a certain level of statistical knowledge.
