One particular important development in regard to the deployment of the data
mining results is the development of standards for exchanging data mining
models and of being able to deploy these models directly into relational
databases, such as DB2 Universal Database and ORACLE. The new standard is
based on what is called the Predictive Model Markup Language (PMML). This
standard provides for the exchange of analytic models like linear regression,
clustering, decision tree, and neural network. The most important advantages
