fis.local.dns is your forward lookup zone file and gets the majority of the traffic. Listing 6.7 shows the file after you have configured the DC to use the Linux DNS and have restarted the netlogon service on the DC. This file also is updated with the A records of any Windows 2000 client or server that is configured to use this DNS.
