| Q1: | When you check your DNS zone, you find that clients are not updating their A and PTR records in the zones. |
| When you install DNS, by default, Allow Updates is turned off. Open the DNS console, right-click your zone, and choose Properties. Make sure Allow Updates is set to Yes. Then, either reboot the computer or use ipconfig /registerdns to cause the records to be updated. Don't forget to update the display in the DNS console by either pressing F5 or clicking the Refresh button on the toolbar. |
