Summary
The main reason you should use Active Directory scripting is because it's fun. Okay, seriously. There is virtually nothing you can't do to AD with ADSI and iadstools. From automating repetitive tasks to remotely viewing AD statistics, the possibilities are endless.
After you have seen the capabilities and have amassed a library of scripts, you will find that many things can be done to ease your administrative burden. You can use ADSI to look for certain properties, modify group membership en masse, and script the creation of reports on the health and status of your Active Directory.
