This chapter discusses site link objects and connection objects. These two types of objects play an extremely important role in how your replication will or will not work—so much so that if they are not configured correctly, you can pretty much guarantee that replication will flat out not work. Another possible outcome of not wisely understanding and implementing connection objects and site links is replication inefficiency.
Site link objects play a role in inter-site replication, whereas connection objects exist in both inter-site and intra-site replication. This chapter focuses on the configuration parameters.
