Validation
A large number of choices leads to decision paralysis. In that situation, the user might postpone the purchase. As we have seen in the previous section, the user can use either heuristic or synthetic processing. To succeed, we need to support both.
Great product images are essential in heuristic processing mode, but so is a nice clean design for our website. Aesthetically pleasing visual design leads to brain responses similar to the biological sense of pleasure. You don't need to study neuroesthetics to know that people will not trust, and most likely leave bad looking, poorly designed websites.
