After deciding the logging method, you need to choose prompts. While it's tempting to say that you want everything relevant to the project logged, that's not a reasonable request. If you are doing a diary study, you can't expect the users to know about your research objectives, and guess what's relevant and what is not. Even for a field study, the prompts are vital in synchronizing the logging of multiple researchers or analysts. Prompts are what we use to prime the logging mindset.
