Making your research questions explicit at the beginning of the process is useful to clarify your goals, but it is also very useful at the end. At the end of the process, you want to check whether you were able to answer those questions.
If you were not able to do so in all cases, you'll be able to retrospectively identify what to improve on the upcoming studies. This will be very helpful to improve the process the next time, either by making the research questions clearer or by improving the process to get better answers.
