Placing actions in the screen to facilitate navigation

Mobile screens are generally getting bigger over the recent years. While the first iPhones had a screen of 3.5 inches, new iPhones and Android devices have screens of 5 inches and more. That makes it more important to locate the most often used actions near the thumb area:
