Testing your designs with real content

Mockups are an effective tool to represent the product before it is developed. Using real content in your mockups is important to avoid surprises when those are transferred into code. Focusing too much on mockups may lead you to use photos that look great but do not represent the actual content of the application, or use content that is more complete or more homogeneous than the content that the application finally will have.
