group cohesion. We propose that this “cultural faultline” model is a
natural extension of Lau and Murnighan’s group faultline model.
3.4 Methodology
Our approach to investigating and capturing teamwork in a dynamic
and complex work situation is to use the C3Fire microworld (Granlund,
2002; 2003). C3Fire simulates an emergency services management task
and elicits distributed decision making from a group of decision makers.
