e use of distributed, online gaming systems for military train-
ing involves the interaction, and potential conict, of three dierent
types of etiquette: those for computers in general, gaming systems,
and in military interactions. e trainees, trainers, and training
managers may or may not have signicant previous computer or game
system experience, but they will be steeped in military etiquette.
e optimal approach for developing the human–computer etiquette
