I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Overlay networking
This is used to connect the different hosts together. We can run an overlay protocol, such as GRE, in order to connect the different hosts. There are several products that perform overlay networking in a container environment, for example Cisco ACI, Contriv, Flannel, and so on.
In the preceding diagram, you can see the overlay network (dotted line) running on the physical network (connected to the switch). This allows the network to be extended between multiple container hosts and makes communication possible.
