I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Adding our OpenStack endpoint
The addition of OpenStack is the same as the AWS endpoint, but in this case, we need a minimum of three details:
- Keystone URL
- If Keystone version 3 is used, then we need the domain name, as the server supports multi-domain authentication
- The port to be used is also from
- Region name
- Username
- Password
This information can be found in our OpenStack installation. In our case, the DevStack installation. We can simply log in to the OpenStack dashboard (see the previous chapter, where we installed the DevStack environment for the login details) and navigate to Identity | Users and click on Create User.
