I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ManageIQ
ManageIQ is an open source product that was created by Red Hat in 2014. Red Hat also uses CloudForms in its enterprise offerings. It was created from a CMDB/asset management mindset, and hence this product's most important aspect is its ability to discover the different cloud platforms.
You can deploy the open source version, ManageIQ, or the enterprise version, CloudForms (which has a few more additional features). The deployment can be done by using appliances or containers. It supports a simple and distributed installation to suit the needs of an enterprise.
Our motive is not to get into the different modes of deployment, but simply understand the architecture principles that are useful for our hybrid cloud.
