I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Configuring Grafana to use Prometheus
Once Grafana has been installed, click on Add Datasource and provide the Name and URL. Since we have not enabled any authentication, leave all of that blank:
Once the data source has been added, we will create a dashboard. Grafana already gives a default dashboard for Prometheus and we will use that. Navigate to https://grafana.com/dashboards to see the predefined dashboards that are available. We will use the Generic Node dashboard (https://grafana.com/dashboards/3297).
Then, navigate to Home | Dashboard | Import and paste the link into the dialog:
