I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Setting up AWS API access
When setting up an account, we can choose to provide an access key and secret key to the user that they can then use to make API calls to the AWS cloud. We will need AWS API keys to use an Orchestrator in the next chapter.
The access to AWS is controlled via IAM. So, in order to create a user with API access, we will choose IAM from the list of services:
- On the left pane, choose Users.
- Click on Add User.
- Set the User Name, Password.
- Choose Programmatic access in the access type (in addition, you could choose Console access also).
- Click on Next:.
