When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Installing Prometheus
There are several options available for the installation of the system, right from using the binary directly to the system, using Docker containers, and not to forget, installing it from the source. Refer to the following link for all the available options https://prometheus.io/docs/prometheus/latest/installation/.
We will be installing it on the same management server that we are running with (the same place where we ran the Juju, Terraform, and Ansible from). We will then be installing the node and AWS exporter.
The install process is done using the following steps:
- Download the executable from the Downloads page
- Unzip and move the executable to the appropriate path
- Create directories
- Create systemd services for ...
