I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
VPC design
The VPC design is from a networking standpoint. It follows similar principles from a data center perspective. One VPC is created per region. As when designing the networking for a data center, a supernet is created, for example 10.1.0.0/16, and then this is further divided into smaller/24 subnets.
Normally, one VPC per region is technically sufficient. You may want to consider the following:
- One VPC per department (or group of departments)
- One VPC for a certain kind of applications—for example, a VPC for all the systems that need HIPAA compliance
- Different VPCs for customers and core IT workloads
