I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Using Cockroach DB in a hybrid cloud environment
Consider an environment where an e-commerce site is running in hybrid mode as follows. With the global DB, the public cloud instances, or the private cloud/DC instances can work as if it's an isolated environment, and the global database will take care of ensuring the data consistency.
The capability and the extent of functionality of Cockroach DB was shown at the OpenStack summit in Boston 2017. About 15 clouds ran a single distributed cockroach DB instance:
