I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
The system that we covered in this chapter needs some more changes to make it production ready, such as securing the Prometheus with user credentials. However, this system is scalable and supports monitoring the systems used in the cloud such as Ceph, HAProxy, OpenStack, and various time series databases.
Prometheus's data model and query language is powerful and allows us to perform a variety of things in a much faster manner. Do remember that in the previous sections (dealing with Prometheus and Grafana), we have not taken into account the ability to generate alerts.
