I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
IPSec VPN
IPSec, short for Internet Protocol Security has become the de-facto standard of encryption on network devices. Before SSL came along, this was used to secure, not only site-to-site connections, but also client-to-site connections.
If you search the internet on how it works, you will come across hundreds or thousands of articles, and I don't intend to add to them. You will hear that there are two phases of IPSec, unimaginatively named, Phase-1 and Phase-2.
You will also understand that there are two protocols at play, the Internet Key Exchange (IKE) and the IPSec protocol itself. You will find that both phases will be configured with an encryption algorithm, the hashing, the Diffie-Helman group, and so on.
