Using the device
We have two options to deploy to a physical machine. Again, I am assuming that you set up the device for developer mode, as described earlier. This is necessary since the device will not accept apps that are signed with a temporary key. Since this is what Visual Studio does, it will not run your app. If you have set it to Developer Mode, you can deploy your apps.
The way you deploy is up to you. It does not really matter if you use the Wi-Fi connection or USB connection. Although USB is slightly faster, it restricts you in your movements. On the other hand, using Wi-Fi, you run the risk of your batteries running out pretty quickly. I leave it up to you.
