When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Moving our heads
If we are not capable of determining the source of a sound, we tend to move our heads. Turning our heads left and right, or up and down a bit, will have different effects. Say a sound origin is located directly to our right. If we hear this, then the sound entering our right ear will be, for instance, twice as loud as the sound entering our left ear. If we, however, turn our heads a bit, this difference will be something like 1.5 times as loud. By constantly moving our head a little bit, we can use this information to calculate the direction of the source of the sound.
