We have discussed this one. In the real world, things hidden behind other things are not visible. So, our virtual objects should behave the same way. Objects behind other objects such as tables, walls, boxes, and so on should be occluded. If the user walks around the room the objects will appear from behind the real-world things. This will make the whole scene much more realistic and believable. The reverse is true as well: if this does not happen the user will feel ill at ease. The world does not work like that!
