When dealing with user interface items, such as buttons and checkboxes, we want to give the user feedback whenever they are used. If the user air taps on a button, it would be good design to have a click sound played. We can do the same for other UI-related effects, such as zooming, swiping, and so on. This is something that people have been doing in regular screen-based applications as well, but because everything in HoloLens has a three-dimensional, world-oriented location in the area around the user, we can use this to have the sound coming from the object itself.
