Some of the man pages will contain a disclaimer directing you to the info pages. The Free Software Foundation (FSF)/GNU Not UNIX (GNU) leadership have been pushing to kill man pages in favor of info pages, so much of the FSF/GNU software has inadequate man pages and a pointer to use info. I'll leave it to you to decide whether you agree with this.
The Texinfo documentation can be accessed by typing the info command at the shell prompt. A user-friendly version is the X Window-based tkinfo (not included with OpenLinux). For more detailed information on any of these commands, see the Texinfo documentation or the man pages.
