Updating Helix GNOME

One of the best things about Helix GNOME is how easy it is to keep it up-to-date. GNOME's design is a big part of this. Whereas KDE is primarily made up of a small number of very large packages, GNOME is made up of a large number of fairly small packages. This means that as each package is updated, it's easy to drop it into your system with a minimum of trouble.

Helix Code made this even easier with Helix Code Update. To access Helix Code Update, click the soda can on the panel (or on the desktop, or click Main Menu, Programs, System, Helix Code Update) and enter your root password. After selecting a mirror, you will be shown a screen like that in Figure 4.12.
