I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Parameters
By default, LILO is configured to pause at a boot prompt. This is done for two basic reasons. First, because LILO offers the capability to manage the booting of several operating systems, it must pause long enough to offer the user a choice of which operating system to boot. If you press the Tab key at the boot prompt, a selection list of available boot images is displayed (you might need to press the Shift key first). The name displayed is the label name entered in the /etc/lilo.conf file for each available boot image.
Second, kernel parameters can be entered at the boot prompt. These command-line options are entered at the boot prompt, and multiple entries are delineated by spaces.
