I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Why Share?
As soon as you have more than one computer on a network, certain conveniences become apparent. It is nice to sit down at any system on the network and have access to the same mail, the same files, and the same programs. It is even better if instead of having to put every single file on all the computers, the files can be shared. This saves disk space as well.
The original implementation for the capability to share files and directories over the network was developed by Sun Microsystems. Called the Network Filesystem (NFS), it enabled directories to be mounted from one computer to hosts across the network.
