When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Troubleshooting
When I use nslookup interactively, I get the following error:
*** Can't find server name for address 127.0.0.1: Non-existent host/domain
Your DNS server is running, but you haven't correctly configured your localhost reverse lookup file. Remember that within the reverse file, your line citing 127.0.0.1 should look like this:
1.0.0.127.in-addr.arpa. IN PTR localhost.
Note that the IP address is written backwards.
How can I tell if I'm using my caching name server?
First, make sure your /etc/hosts file has the following as the first name server line:
nameserver 127.0.0.1
Then, start nslookup with no arguments. Your default server should be localhost with address 127.0.0.1. If it's not, you're not using your local name server. ...
