When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
About the Authors
David Bandel earned a Master of Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1989 at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He retired from 20 years in the Army in February, 1996. While on active duty, he learned many of the basics of UNIX working on DEC 5000s running Ultrix and SUN SparcStations running SunOS 4. He has worked on a variety of systems and architectures, including Sparc Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, and SCO OpenServer. In 1993, he began dabbling with Linux, a hobby that quickly grew on him. Currently, David is semi-retired and living in the Republic of Panama where he writes, does Linux/UNIX consulting, and works on his farm. He co-authored Que's Special Edition Using OpenLinux.
