So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ISP Connections
With the ever-increasing popularity of the Internet, the Internet service provider (ISP) is an area that is evolving quickly. Connecting to the Internet has become quite commonplace for the home user. The pervasiveness of the Internet has made a connection to it basically a necessity, even for people who are somewhat new to personal computing. A Linux system can be used as a personal workstation connected to the Internet or, perhaps more often, used as a gateway connection for a small to medium-sized local area network. See Chapter 35, "IP Masquerading," for more details on how a Linux system can masquerade for an entire local area network.
